Since 2017, Shood has distributed over 10,000 pairs of shoes in RVA. Robin founded Shood as an opportunity to give back to the community that she lives in. She found an opportunity to use something that many folks discard and give them a second life to help those who are in need in the Richmond community. The average running shoe has a life span of 300-500, but that doesn’t mean it still can’t give life to help those who need shoes to have a good pair on their feet. This is what led Robin to start Shood, and Robin talks in this episode how her own passions led her in this venture and how she balances this effort and caring for herself and family at the same time.
Mission: Shood collects new and gently used running shoes, reconditions and distributes to those who are homeless or living in poverty in Richmond, VA.
